THE LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

 

God’s purpose for Holy Spirit Church is to guide the community to Christ with support and love.

 Holy Spirit’s Guiding Principles:

• Jesus is Lord
• Live our lives according to God’s Word
• We welcome all into our Congregation
• All are equal in the eyes of God
• We are to forgive each other, as God forgives us 

 

Holy Spirit participates in a traditional worship service each Sunday where we celebrate the Good News of Christ's saving grace and rejoice together as a community.  The worship follows a liturgy from one of our seven settings which can be followed in our "user-friendly bulletins."  Worship is accompanied by Jim Ragotzkie on our treasured pipe organ.  Between the months of September and June, worship is accompanied by our choir, under the direction of Jim Ragotzkie and Carol Alexander.

We celebrate Holy Communion on every Sunday.  Everyone is welcome to partake in the meal with us!  Children who have not been instructed are welcome to receive a blessing.

Holy Spirit is located in the historic South End of Albany, New York.  

Sunday School is offered during the school year beginning at 9:15 AM in our fellowship hall.
